The museum committee, chaired by Nancy Allen, has collected an amazing array of items including a Windsor chair and a trunk that belonged to Revolutionary War soldiers. Also in this collection are numerous household items, such as a bed warmer, a foot warmer (for those cold New England winters), candle mold, pewter plates and a Betty lamp. There also are reproductions of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the flag adopted by Congress in 1777 that has the familiar 13 red and white stripes and 13 white stars on a blue field. We have recently learned that John Hunt was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, which makes this display even more meaningful!
